Bleikdjupet at SALT, Oslo

As part of the project Exploring Arctic Soundscapes Jana will be performing the piece Bleikdjupet. She has been recording echolocating sounds of Spermwhales around Andøya, along the Egga, as they are hunting and orientating themselves. She is also basing the composition on communication with scientists, local people, exeriences and explorations she did at field trips at sea and on land around Bleikdjupet in 2022 and 2023.
At the event at SALT there will also be a panel discussion and a performance of
Eric Skytterholm Egan´s composition Ábifruvvá (2023), performed by John Garner og Marie Schreer (fioliner)
