'From Crow’s to Cod’s Perspective’, BEK, Bergen Centre for Electronic Arts, Bergen, 16th to 18th October 2024
The workshop was part of New Perspectives for Action, a project by Re-Imagine Europe, co-funded by The European Union.
BEK invites to a workshop for practicing artists and composers led by the renowned sound artist Jana Winderen. In this workshop, field recordings will be carried out from different perspectives, in urban spaces and nature, and the participants will be able to use various equipment in unconventional and creative ways. Participants will get to explore their own sonic presence, noise and inherent noise during the recording processes, work with different perspectives gained from the placement of microphones and record sound inside and outside the ultrasonic spectrum.
Further, the participants will continue working with the files at BEK, listen in the space and share thoughts and develop good routines for post-production.
